From indoor and outdoor art exhibits and a theatre production, to playtime for kids and play calling during Lark sporting events, Homecoming Weekend 2024 is sure to see imaginations on display September 26 to 29. Several new activities have been added to this year’s lineup including the aforementioned art exhibits and theatre production, as well as a golf simulator long drive tournament. Events and entertainment are open to alumni, friends, fans and the entire community.
Early Reader Book Club is designed to instill a love of reading in children grades K-2. Participants receive a book they can keep, read it aloud together and follow up with fun, book-themed activities. Registration required.

The annual Best of Newton Photo Contest will be accepting entries now through October 21. The free contest gives photographers multiple opportunities to be recognized.
The contest will have two categories this year – the open category and one focusing on people of Newton. The feature category can include photos of people doing activities, daily life, and all things that highlight life and fun in Newton.
You can win $100 in Chamber Checks and possibly be featured in the 2025 Newton Calendar. We can't wait to see your amazing photos!

The calendar includes events from the Newton School District, Newton Public Library, Bethel College, local businesses and museums, community organizations, and others.
